Giving Opportunities · The annual fund supports annual operational needs, general programs, faculty and staff salaries, building and grounds, maintenance, and other related annual expenditures. · Endowed funds are invested with a portion of the earnings used annually in support of the school. An increased endowment gives greater financial stability to St. John School. · Memorials are opportunities to give a gift in memory of, or as a tribute to (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries) a loved one. · The St. John School Legacy Society asks alumni and other friends to consider including a deferred gift to our school in their estate plan. Generally this involves including a bequest to St. John School in a will or trust. Other possibilities for deferred gifts include life insurance, gift annuities, and various trusts. · A capital campaign is designed to significantly upgrade facilities and programs including major renovations and new buildings. Currently there is no capital campaign in progress.
Seasonal Appeals · Holiday / End of the Year generates funds to meet the annual fund goal. The success of this appeal is critical to the annual budget. · Benefit Auction Each year current, former, and new school families come together the weekend before Thanksgiving to create a magical event- the school’s benefit auction. Proceeds from our largest fundraiser benefit the school's Endowment as well as its annual operating budget. See our Benefit Auction web page · Various special fundraising events supplement the annual operating budget. Such appeals provides an opportunity for our school families to give as a tribute to a teacher’s longstanding professional anniversary date.
