School Mass

Celebrating the Catholic Faith

St. John Catholic School students participate in various worship activities including Masses, prayer services, Stations of the Cross, praying the Rosary, and other forms of worship.

All families, regardless of religious preference, are welcome to attend school Masses and prayer services. All students attend Mass Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. in St. John Church. Classes take turns planning the Masses which provide opportunities for our students to actively participate in the liturgy. Dates are announced in the principal’s weekly newsletter.

The school prepares Catholic children for their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion by teaching the sacraments during second grade religion classes. Students receive these sacraments from their parish in second grade.

Religion is taught each day by qualified teachers.
